Summer School

Jackie's been going to school two or three days a week during the summer - same as the school year.  I figured, since it's in another language, she really shouldn't take a long break.  Plus, she only goes a couple days a week and she doesn't know what summer break really means yet.

Her summer school has been inconsistent - a new summer location, different kids every day, different teachers than during the school year.  It was a little tough some days, when she didn't want me to leave her there.  But most days after class let out she wouldn't leave!  Here are a couple of pictures of her playing after school.  She really liked playing with the big kids who stay all day for summer camps.

This week she starts her new school in our local school district.  We are very excited about this!  It feels more permanent.  We'll meet people who live in our town.  We won't have to drive so far.  And I'll be able to come home while she's at school instead of killing time in another town.  It's "parent participation" preschool, which means some days I'll be there in the classroom as an assistant.  I'm excited about this.  I need all the help I can get supporting the learning of a second language!
