Signing LOTS of documents - We are in escrow on a house in Poway! Had the home inspection last week and nothing major wrong with it, yeah! 4 Bedrooms, Single Story, 3 car garage, big yard, best school district. Near our incredibly supportive family. We call it "The Forever House" because we could live there forever, duh. Unless we become outrageously rich, then we'll live all over the world, of course.
Worrying about $ - Let's face it, buying a house is scary! We've spent years saving up a hefty downpayment and feeling pretty good with all that money in the bank. And now it'll be gone. There will be no extra money in the bank. And the new house is going to feel really empty because we won't be able to buy any furniture. But I made over $100 selling old clothes, books, and outdated technology at a garage sale! And then I found $60 lying on a sidewalk when out for a walk (don't worry, there was no one around to ask if they'd dropped it). I'm rolling in the dough!
The Maaaaaaaasters - Chris has had a hernia he has been avoiding for quite some time. It started to bother him more so he scheduled a repair.... for the week of The Masters. How convenient! Surgery went well on Wednesday morning and he is now lying in his recliner (good buy, he says) with his laptop on his lap and his trenta iced coffee at fingers reach with 24/7 golf on the tv. And Jaclyn is alternating between sets of grandparents for a couple of days while he gets past the worst of it.
To Do's, To Do's, To Do's - And I am working on a two page long list of to do's around the condo in preparation for moving and renting. We will have to rent the condo because we can't sell it and we'll need the income. Know anyone that wants to live in a 2 bedroom (dual masters) 2 & 1/2 bathroom, full size 2 car garage attached, new appliances, hard wood floors, fireplace....... in the lovely "Island in the Hills" neighborhood called Tierrasanta? It's close to everything while having a quiet suburban feel. Trees, walking trails in the canyons, association pool, no traffic (unlike nearby Mission Valley). Tell your friends!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to need your husband to teach me about my trees and trim a branch hanging over the house!!! And of course, you'll have to come over with your munchkins for at least one playdate.... even though I'm moving forever away!
