Jackie has been writing (dictating) stories recently:

"Once upon a time there was one little Goldilocks.  She hunt for her grandma and mama in the wood.  And they drank salt for dinner.  And then they drank pepper for dinner.  And then Goldilocks went for a walk in the wide wide world.  The End."

"Once upon a time there was three little pigs.  And then the three little pigs went for a walk in the wide wide world.  And then the little piggies walked down the lane and then they stopped because they saw a cat and one of the piggies was afraid of it.  The little piggies thought of a people that they didn't know.  And they made the friend that they thought of.  And then the three little piggies, around the circle they went and then they hopped and hopped and hopped.  The End."

On a day that I was asking her to dictate messages for her friends Christmas cards she later was pretending to write one, talking out loud.
"Dear Mommy I hope you have a good Christmas.  I love you so much."

Also on a different day she took one of my little notecards from my stationary box and scribbled on it and put it in an envelope and gave it to me.  I asked her, what does it say?
"I'll miss you when I'm bigger.  And I'll miss you when I'm T-balling with my friends.  And when I get home I will not miss you."
