Last week we met up with Morgan and her family at the San Diego County Fair after summer school. Morgan performed her dance from her dance studio's summer recital. So we went to support her.... and to hopefully inspire Jackie to try dance classes again. hint hint wink wink. While we were waiting for Morgan we wandered around the home and garden expo type building and then watched some line dancers. When the line dancers wanted to teach the audience a dance, Jackie and I and Morgan and her mom, with baby brother in the carrier, got out there and learned some steps. It was super cute. Then Jackie and I sat back and watched some performances by various classes from the dance studio.
After Morgan was done dancing, the girls pulled out the map and started planning what they wanted to do. Too Cute!
Morgan got her comfy street clothes on, and off we went.
The girls are old enough and tall enough to ride many of the rides all by themselves. I think it took a little convincing to get Jackie to do rides without me. But Morgan's enthusiasm and courage rubbed off on her. So, the mamarazzi was able to watch and snap pictures.
I've been messing around with those fancy camera apps and altering the color and adding borders.... can you tell? Ha
After rides..... animals. Because, what's a county fair without animals? We did the petting zoo. Then we did some major hand washing.
Time flies at the fair. We were there less than 4 hours and I was exhausted! We avoided eating a bunch of yucky fried food by eating lunch at school. But I did give in to some cotton candy on the way out. We only brought home one small stuffed animal. And no goldfish. Thank God! But there is so much more we didn't get to do..... Next year! Thank you Morgan and mom and bro for sharing your day and your snacks with us!
