First we headed over to Emilia's grandparent's neighborhood for a little parade. Such a great neighborhood tradition! Somebody must have an "in" with the fire department because a fire truck led the parade. The neighbors, kids, friends, and extended family decorated themselves, their fancy cars, their golf carts, their bikes, scooters or wagons to follow the fire truck. A few neighbors just stood outside and waved to us fools. The girls really enjoyed being together.
I asked Jackie if she wanted to wear the red pants or the white skirt. She said both. And insisted on the pink shoes to go with it.
These girls held hands for a long time, walking all over.
They were so cute, everyone couldn't help but notice.
Snow Cone Time
Next we headed to Old Poway Park for the second year. Jackie did a quick craft, we had a snack, and wandered around the train barn.
We finished the day at Grandma and Grandpa's pool with the family.
And topped it off with a view of fireworks from the driveway. Her red and white balloons were there for it all!
