One of Jaclyn's favorite movies is Annie. We own it on DVD so it gets a lot of play. She even knows some words to the songs. Recently we went to see a stage production by the San Diego Junior Theatre. The day before, I told her we were going and she was clearly excited. The morning of, she woke us by popping straight up and singing at the top of her lungs, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow. You're only a day away." Over and over and over. She can even sing it in tune.
Her level of excitement all morning long was out of control. She kept asking me every few minutes what time it is and how much longer. Finally, we were on our way. I planned for her to fall asleep on the way there and then sit in the parking lot for a while so she could nap. It took her awhile to fall asleep, as she sang, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow. You're only a day away." Over and over and over.
Can you see how excited she is?
In the end, the show was too long for a not-quite-3 year old, so we left at intermission. But her excitement about going and seeing part of it was worth it!
