Daddy Daughter Dance

Last night was the Father Daughter Dance at school. Jackie was very excited about it all day. But thankfully she had her first play date at Sara's house that day to help distract her.  She was so excited about going to Sara's house that she made this picture list of everything they were going to do together.
Here is a picture of them playing
During their play date they made cards for their dads. She spelled the words the way they sound to her.
She said daddy's thought bubble says he thinks the dance is boring and she's thinking I Love You. And she's wearing a grass skirt.
The dance was Hawaiian themed so we put together an outfit with a Hawaiian floral and a shell lei and a coconut bikini of course. Jackie asked me how Hawaiian girls wear their hair, and I said long and flowing down her back with a flower in their hair - so that's what she wanted. We had fun getting her ready and anticipating daddy's arrival.

He brought her flowers and we took pictures and then they headed to Brigantine for a nice dinner before the dance.

Oh look, as if she hadn't played with Sara enough today (or all week at school for that matter), here they are again!
From what I hear, there wasn't much dancing. But they played games and had fun and spent time with their daddies and that's important for little ladies.
