Spanglish

Today while unpacking Jackie's lunch box, I said to her: You didn't eat your cherries.  Her reply: Because it was time to "guarda" our lunch.

They sing a cleaning up song that goes something like this:
Guarda, Guarda, todos vamos al guardar....
It has the same tune as the clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere song.  I don't know how accurate my understanding of the song is, or my spelling of the words - but I think one of the meanings of guardar is to put away.

Slow and steady - she is using more spanish here and there.  I am trusting that it's all up in that head of hers and one day it will come spilling out!
