Birthday Parties

This summer many of Jackie's friends are turning 4.  We were generously invited to Luke and Julian's joint party at a great park.

Prior to their party, Jackie had created this fabulous piece of art by slamming her bingo dauber onto the paper over and over again.  The over-splatter on her clothes and on the window and walls around were not so fabulous.  But I'll live.  The next day as we were ready to wrap the boys' presents she suggested that we wrap them in her art.  I love her!  How can you not love that little 3 1/2 year old mind?

Then it was off to the party.  Big beautiful shady park, lots of friends, a taco cart (yes, I said TACO CART), then.....
Piñata Time - I have to admit, Piñata's make Chris extremely nervous.  He was holding Jackie back 12 feet and shielding her with his body!

Then there was a water balloon fight of sorts.  Luke's mama passed out a water balloons to each kid.  But then they were all holding them, standing in a line, waiting to be told what to do.  Julian's daddy to the rescue.  He calls out "throw them at me" and takes off running.

Then it was time for Lego shaped cake - homemade by Luke's daddy.  Are you kidding me?  And they were delicious!

Thank you Luke and Julian and families for including us in your special day!
