We heart Ikea

We've been doing a lot of Ikea shopping as we've been settling into the new house.  I sadly admit I haven't taken Jaclyn there yet.  I know she will love it!  But I brought her home a new step stool, among the many other flat cardboard boxes filled with bookcases and a buffet cabinet.  She helped me put it together!  She really got into helping us build the furniture.  I would assign her the job of separating all the little pieces of hardware into like piles.  And then I would describe things I needed and she would find them for me.  And I let her turn the little allen wrench and such.  She was surprisingly focused and interested and adept at this.  Though, why am I surprised?  She is my child afterall!

This step stool is really coming in handy.  She WANTS to do the dishes!
