Settling in

I haven't been blogging lately because we have been really busy!  We had a house warming party, which was a major motivational tool to get some house projects done.  So all spare time was spent ....


putting together a lot of furniture, unpacking boxes,and finding homes for our "stuff"......

[new Ikea bookcases in our entry hall.  It holds toys, books, photo albums, and mementos and photo frames.]

[new dining buffet cabinet from IKEA, wall art and bowl and platter unearthed from the depths of the garage]

and painting...

and planting flowers, 

[The boxes were there, but they needed some prepping before putting wet soil and plants in.  I really hope I don't kill the plants because it was a lot of work!]

and hanging art...

[Family Room wall behind sofa... it's still a work in progress but as you can see it's a collage of art - fine and not so fine - and photography, art and personal.  I'm sure it will be a living breathing ever changing gallery of sorts]

It's feeling very homey around here now... but the garage is still a mess!  Oh well; we're getting there.
