Pinterest Obsession

Yes, I got a Pinterest account.  I'm one of those moms.  I kind of hate myself.  But I am naturally an idea gatherer.  And I am the type that keeps too many magazines lying around with pages flagged or sticky notes hanging out of them.  I'm a pin it to a bulletin board or file it type of person.  So really this website is more for my own peace of mind.  It's a paperless bulletin board.  It's free.  It's kind of genius.  I wish it was more private though.  I don't really want anyone in the world to be able to see what I am pinning.  But, I'm probably not that interesting anyway.

If you are already "following" me on Pinterest then you've seen the "pinning" I've done in preparation for this little home improvement project.  Amazingly, I actually followed through on an idea in a timely manner instead of allowing it to be buried under many other ideas that begin to gather dust year after year in my files.

When we moved in to the new house, previous residents left a bird bath in the backyard.  It wasn't anchored and is easy to tip over if you are about 3' tall.  So we immediately moved it to an out of the way spot in the front yard.  I envisioned birds bathing in it outside of our window and Gracie the cat licking her lips.  But, it got no love and the water evaporated quickly.  So, what to do with it?

I think I was too formal and symmetrical with my arrangement.  But, its done.  And if it lives, that will be impressive.
Side note:  My last gardening project is still living; thriving really.
And if anyone knows anything about successfully growing fruits and veggies and wants to volunteer your knowledge, call me!  Meanwhile, check out Pinterest... it's kinda fun.
