First Day of Fall

The Fall Festivities have begun.....
pictures from our second annual apple picking excursion in Julian.  This time, on the first day of Fall.

The weather was crazy - one minute it was uncomfortably warm and Jackie's cheeks turned as red as the apples.  The next minute the sky clouded over and big fat rain drops fell on us.  Perfect.

We ate as we picked.  Then picnicked at a winery across the street, sharing a glass of Apple Wine (Nana and me, not Jackie).  We finished our day with apple pie a la mode in town.  Yum!
