House Hunting

So, we are starting to do some house hunting in various neighborhoods.  Seeing if there is anything out there in our affordability range that would work for us.  Today we decided to drive by some listed properties to get a feel for the neighborhoods and cross some off the list that are just plain NO.  We took Jaclyn with us and put a movie in the dvd player in the car.  We told her we were looking at new houses.  She, all on her own, said she would pick out a new room.  I said, that's right, you'll get to pick out your new room.  What color do you want it to be?  She says, Pink.  Of course I think.  I say, but you already have a pink room.  Do you want another pink room or do you want your new room to be different?  She says, I want a purple room.  Okay, I say, a purple room it is.  Do you want the walls to be purple?  Yes.  The bed to be purple?  Yes.  And then she says.... and I'll get new friends too.  What?  Did she really just say that?  How does she know these things?  But then she says, Purple friends.  Ooookkkkaaaayyyy.......

So, after we get home, she gets very upset that we don't have a new house and a new purple room.  I mean, really upset.  We try to explain.  To appease her I suggest we look at pictures of purple rooms in the internet and get ideas.  That works.  We then stumble across a photo of a Princess Castle Bunk Bed with Slide, in pink and purple.  She falls in love.  I print the picture for her.  She wants this bed, and she wants in now.  Next it was time to go upstairs and get ready for bed.  I kid you not, she had an absolute melt down because her new bed wasn't already in her room!  We taped the photo to the wall.  Daddy even made a little model of the bed using shoe boxes and things.  They pretended to play in her new bed.  Finally, finally, she accepted that her new bed wouldn't be here tonight.....  But, it looks like we may have to buy this bed!!!!  Yikes!
