Sick Day

Jackie is home sick today. Her first sick day of kindergarten. And it's "eat with your student day"!  😞  I think I'm more disappointed about missing this than she is. She slept well past the school bell. I had a feeling she was about to get fully sick so I didn't wake her this morning. She normally wakes me!

I interrupted her two hours straight of iPad video watching to suggest that she do something else with her time at home. She's on the floor of my office drawing. 

Notice the words written at top?  This is the first time I've noticed her write anything unprompted besides her name and without an example in front of her. I'm enjoying this unexpected time at home with her!
