Beach Day

Summer winked at us last week.  We took advantage of it and went to the beach.  The kids had a ridiculously good time digging for sand crabs and getting buckets of water from the ocean.

There were so many sand crabs that I couldn't even just stand nearby and watch and take pictures without having them crawl all over my feet.  yuck.

Snack Time

Levi and Jackie stayed a little longer at the beach together and had a great time playing.  There were sword fights with plastic stakes for the pop-up beach tent.  And sand castle building.  Eating again.  Many funny little conversations that I wish I had on video.  As we were leaving the beach they were playing a funny game called hot hot.  They had put their shoes on but were pretending the ground was hot and running around looking for cool spots, like climbing up on this rock.  It was hard to get them to leave!
