Valentine's Day

My sweet little girl full of love for hearts and pink and all, made her own Valentines for her classmates.  She practiced her cutting skills and then she stamped and stickered her heart's content.  And then she practiced writing her name.  She's still resistant to writing it without tracing it; so she traced over my pencil lines.  19 Valentine's later.....
I made snack for the class - Sweet Beet cookies and a festive bag of trail mix.  The cookies turned out pretty good for being made with beets and very little sugar.  I did add some frosting decoration so that they would be a little sweeter and more fun to eat.
Some photos of Jackie at her school party:

Jackie's been talking about making friends with Cooper.  Then low and behold they were sitting next to each other at snack time.  They had the funniest conversation about their food.  Cooper was asking Jackie what something was in his trail mix.  She said it's a cashew covered in chocolate; it's really yummy.  And he said, what's that in the middle?  She said it's a nut!  (in that funny enthusiastic voice she uses sometimes)  Cooper says, I don't like nuts (as he takes another bite).  I guess that chocolate won him over on the nut.
Time to pass out Valentines.

She had a great day and loved opening her bag of Valentines after school.  Somehow she ended up with two from Cooper.....should I be concerned?
